Branding
CHIBANOS is a Chinese-Cuban sandwich shop based in Philly. The brand identity draws inspiration from cultural elements like Chinese art motifs, Cuban tiles, and symmetry in general. I played with quarter circles and half circles - “incomplete” elements - coming together to form “whole” and unique tile-ish iconographies. The identity shows a lot of juxtapositions: filled with history but modern, colorful and bold but clean, standing out but still friendly and evoking a sense of community.
